I am going to become a great grandmother in November. I am so excited and thought I better get started on the blanket I am making to welcome our new little one into the world. I won’t be able to be there to wrap my arms around this little one but in every stitch I am putting into this crib blanket I am thinking of him or her. Each stich has a prayer, a blessing and a heart full of love.

My grand-daughter recently was married and now is looking forward to motherhood. Yes , I am going to be a great grandma and I am so very excited! Her husband is in the military and they had to move away so I want to keep in touch with her using my crafty stuff. So I decided to try a quilted postcard, with a cup that represents my coffee cup, something that she can relate me to, just to let her know that I am thinking of her and my love is with her.

I used the scrapbook factory on my computer to design the card and then added the embellishments. I made this card for one of my grand-daughters who likes to sew. I trimmed a rose from a piece of lace and glued it to the front of the card to the left of the rose I placed a little flower with a stone in the center, I used a raised zot so it would stand out. And I put a button in the upper right hand corner. I added the card to a basket of sewing notions and material. I think it made a nice gift.

It makes a great overnight bag when staying with grandma.

I don’t have the name of the pattern for this bag holder. My step mother gave me the pattern, It only takes four pieces of material.
One piece used to hold the bags, one for the apron, one for the ruffle on the bottom of the apron and one for the band at the top. I will take step by step pictures on the next one so I will have a record of how to make them.
