I am going to become a great grandmother in November. I am so excited and thought I better get started on the blanket I am making to welcome our new little one into the world. I won’t be able to be there to wrap my arms around this little one but in every stitch I am putting into this crib blanket I am thinking of him or her. Each stich has a prayer, a blessing and a heart full of love.

While I was visiting the Kniting and Crochet Forum called Knitting paradise, I came across this fun little knitting personality test. Interesting, It said I was a logical knitter. Seemed to fit me pretty well, personality wise.

I love this soap holder. I made a couple on my own and they turned out ok. Then I seen this video on you tube and just had to try it. I love it, it is so easy to make and very comfortable to use. It works great for your own personal soap at home, but I love the idea of taking it on the go. I just want to make one for everyone in my family.
I have included the video from Good Knit Kisses in case anyone else would like to try it. And also so I don’t forget how to make them

To make this scarf I used the Kniffty Knitter 8″ loom. The stitch is the twisted stitch. I used one skein Multi Casual Boucle by Sensations and 1/2 skein Caron Simply Soft color Pagoda. I really like the thickness of the scarf using the twisted stitch on the loom. I absolutely love the color Pagoda. I had some left over and decided to make a scarf for myself. I miss the knitting needles , so I am going to use 9″ needles and just do the knit stitch. Simple but a stitch I have become very comfortable with will post a picture when I finish.

Aspen’s scarf ia made with a black shimmer yarn by Red Heart. It is a medium weight and done in the knit stitch and added fringe. It looks great on her and ties very easily.
Amelia just loved the yarn in this scarf she said it was sooo soft. I tried a new stitch called the extended knit stitch and it makes the scarf feel very light and fluffy.
Amelia’s scarf made with a light baby yellow yarn with beads and fringe.

I used the circular 31 peg loom by Knifty Knitter and Deep Purple Charisma Yarn from Loops &Threads. Using the e-wrap stitch I made a 2″ brim and an 8″ body. I tied it off with the drawstring method and topped it off with a pom-pom. I can’t wait to see how it fits my youngest grand-daughter, I think she is going to like it. Now I have to make each of the girls a hat to match their scarves.
